There have been key changes to the Home Energy Rating Certificate as part of the Stage 2 roll out. The changes include clearer information, a new colour scheme, and upgrade guidance that is specific to the home assessed.
The tailored upgrade guidance will only show householders guidance relevant to their home, helping them better understand their options. A new third page also contains explanatory notes and additional information about home energy ratings and assessors.
There are also supporting resources to complement the certificate and help households find more information about the upgrades they may wish to undertake. These include:
- a guide to the certificate
- upgrade fact sheets for houses and apartments for each of the 8 National Construction Code climate zones
- links to other useful resources, such as Your Home, and energy saving tips.
