This strategy was developed to ensure Home Energy Rating (NatHERS) for new homes assessors were trained and accredited to conduct Whole of Home assessments for regulatory purposes.

Assessor Accreditation
This strategy was intended to cater for the different needs of both currently accredited assessors and those that had not started their formal training. The needs of these two groups, and the recommended training delivery are different, and were focused to minimise disruption and burden while maximising the benefits.
It was proposed that NatHERS Whole of Home assessor accreditation and training should build off the existing thermal performance assessment approach for assessor accreditation and training.
